Grace Weatherall (spelt Wetherall in the description), is my Great Grandmother. She married Joe Harry Windle, also of Cononley, and they had my Grandad, Alec Windle, in 1923.

This photo was a lovely discovery, I can see my Grandad in her very clearly and I look a little like him so I do see a strong resemblance.

Her father was Francis (Frank) Weatherall, her mother Lilian. I am currently researching them but I believe Frank had connections and was a mill manager, possibly at Cononley Mill.

  2. Julian Holmes

Alan Holmes is my Grandad, he married Marie Thompson also of Cononley. Both died young, my dad Cedric was 7 when his father died and 11 when his mother died. He was brought up along with his brother David and sister Rita by his mother’s sisters Nellie and Sylvia Thompson.
