George Francis MILNER born 10th July 1862, died 20th June 1921
Brigadier General George Francis MILNER CMG DSO 2nd son of Henry BW Milner and Charlotte his wife. Born 10th July 1862 died 20th June 1921. Served in the 17th Lancers from 1883-1893. Promoted Captain 1st Life Guards 1893. Served in the South African War and commanded the 12th Battalion Imperial Yeomanry 1900-1902. Commanded the 5th Royal Irish Lancers from 1909 to 1913. During the Great War he commanded the 1st Reserve Cavalry Brigade and retired in 1919.
