Founded in 1980 the group is open to anyone interested in tracing their ancestry. In 2019 Wharfedale FHG merged with the Keighley and District FHS.
If your roots are in the Airedale and Wharfedale area or further afield you will find help and encouragement in this fascinating hobby by joining the Airedale and Wharfedale Family History Society.

Printed Journal Errors – December 2019

A number of errors have been found reported in the December 2019 AWFHS Journal. These Include:

  • Keighley Branch – December Meeting, is being held a week later on the 9th December due to Library strike action, and not the 1st Monday.
  • Threshfield Branch – The February Meeting is Leeds-Liverpool Canals by Norman Simpson.
